MRR (Military Remote Running) is a new programme for soldiers, open to both past and present members of the military and their wider family of friends, loved-ones and supporters.

It allows you to engage in a range exciting virtual challenges, whilst raising money for The Soldiers’ Charity. You can run, ride or row in a number of events from any outdoor location or gym, anywhere in the world.

Step 1

To sign up, you’ll need to fill out a form detailing your personal details, including your rank, age, gender and more.

See the below screenshot of how simple the registration process is.

You can browse the selection of events on offer, and sign up here.

Step 2

After registering, you’ll need to start preparing for race day. All you need to do to receive your finishers items or be eligible for prizes is to run the correct distance and submit your result before the cut-off deadline.

Please check the latest COVID-19 guidelines in the country you are in before you race, as there are new rules on outdoor exercise and social distancing in many countries.

Submitting your results is easy. Just follow the link in your confirmation email, or select your event from ourresults page.

You will need to enter your registration ID (which can be found in the confirmation email you received when signing up), insert your finish time and upload some supporting evidence (a photograph of gym equipment, screenshot from a fitness tracker, link to a GPS activity or a letter of verification from a physical training instructor).

If you can’t find your registration ID, login to your MyEvents profile here using the email address and password you registered with to retrieve it.

If you have any issues verifying your results, contact us at helpdesk@militaryremoterunning.co.uk.

Step 3

Once your result has been verified, and the verification deadline has passed – all results will be published on our leaderboard so you can compare your result against others who have taken part. If you have won an end of year or end of season prize, we’ll contact you with more details.

If your event included a finisher’s item, such as a medal, it will be posted to you via BFPO after the submission deadline using the address you entered on your registration form.
