Military Remote Running (MRR) is an exciting new programme open to past and present British soldiers and the extended Army Family worldwide.

MRR offers a series of events and challenges throughout the year – delivered in partnership by ABF The Soldiers’ Charity – the Army’s National Charity and R4W – one of the UK’s largest mass participation event organisers.

The MRR programme will offer soldiers an exclusive opportunity to participate competitively in virtual challenges (open to members of the armed forces and extended members of the military family).

There’s plenty on offer, from virtual races to commemorate D-Day and Armistice Day, to Super Recruit and New Tour Challenges for those new to the military, or embarking on tours overseas looking for a motivational physical challenge with a healthy competitive element.

Soldiers and the military family are able to:

  • Participate in events from any outdoor location, in any gym or on any treadmill from any worldwide location
  • Choose to run, ride or row
  • Use the event website to compare their own race performance against those of the same age, gender, military rank and location
  • Help generated much-needed funds for the Soldiers’ Charity, whilst experiencing a meaningful fitness challenge

Those taking part will receive personally addressed parcels including commemorative finishers medals to mark completion – whatever their worldwide location via BFPO.
